For many aspiring technical divers, closed circuit rebreathers represent the pinnacle of deep-water exploration technology.

Delivering far greater gas management and decompression efficiency than conventional open circuit diving, rebreathers have become a uniquely flexible exploration tool employed by many high-level GUE teams across the globe. For exploration projects in remote locations, logistical constraints often make a rebreather the only realistic option!

Building upon the skills set and standardised procedures refined through GUE's open circuit technical courses, GUE CCR training introduces divers to the GUE-approved rebreather configuration. Based around the popular JJ-CCR, the GUE rebreather configuration delivers all the benefits of rebreather diving whilst maintaining full compatibility with GUE's standardised team diving procedures.

GUE CCR-1 Diver
Make the jump to CCR diving
GUE's Closed-Circuit Rebreather Diver Level 1 course provides the opportunity to gradually transition from open circuit diving to closed-circuit diving.

The course is intended to challenge divers in a comfortable environment that emphasizes the need for learning management, maintenance procedures and protocols of the closed-circuit rebreather. The course also emphasizes the need for increased physical and mental fitness.

WHO IS IT FOR?
GUE's Closed-Circuit Rebreather Diver Level 1 course is intended for GUE Tech 1 divers who desire to learn to dive with a closed-circuit rebreather. Tech 1 divers who aspire beyond their current level will find that this course gives them the tools to do so by building and enhancing their technical diving abilities.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Course outcomes include, but are not limited to: a competent and comfortable rebreather diver with solid personal and team skills; knowledge of rebreather functions, operation and how to act if experiencing failures; competent in performing bailout to open circuit, including ascent protocol; and can plan technical dive missions including, gas, absorbent canister endurance, oxygen toxicity management and decompression strategies.
GUE CCR-2 Diver
Take your CCR diving even further
GUE's Closed-Circuit Rebreather Diver Level 2 course is intended to develop GUE CCR Level 1 skills by gradually building diver skill and knowledge of closed-circuit diving.

The course is also designed to extend diver capacity for challenges in a comfortable learning environment by emphasizing a higher degree of physical fitness, as well as a deeper understanding of the management, maintenance procedures, and protocols of the rebreather.

WHO IS IT FOR?
GUE's Closed-Circuit Rebreather Diver Level 2 is intended for graduates of the GUE Closed-Circuit Rebreather Diver Level 1 course who wish to further their knowledge and understanding of advanced CCR diving in more demanding environments. Students of this class wish to enhance their capacity of CCR diving within the GUE system.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Course outcomes include, but are not limited to: a competent and comfortable rebreather diver with solid personal and team skills, robust knowledge of rebreather functions, operation, and failures; competent performing deep bailout to open circuit, including ascent protocol involving gas switches, rotations, and loss of decompression gases; and a diver that can plan aggressive technical dive missions including, gas, absorbent canister endurance, oxygen toxicity management and decompression strategies.

JJ-CCR Servicing Workshop
Learn the skills needed to maintain your CCR
The JJ-CCR rebreather is a high-value investment and also keeps you alive underwater so it makes sense to keep it in optimal condition. Whatever your JJ-CCR rebreather servicing needs, we can help!

For those who would prefer to have their units serviced by a qualified and JJ-CCR factory-trained technician, we are happy to help - contact us today to book your unit in for any servicing work it may require. As an authorised JJ-CCR Service Centre, we only use genuine JJ-CCR parts and work to the highest standards.

If you're the sort of person that would like to learn the skills and knowledge required to competently service the JJ-CCR for yourself, why not book a service day with us at our workshop and we'll go through the servicing with you? You are permitted to do this as part of your warranty agreement with JJ-CCR and, whilst you won’t be a service technician after this, our workshop will give you a better insight into your rebreather and the knowledge you need to perform field repairs and preventative maintenance. There are many tips and tricks to be learned and a deeper knowledge of the unit function and design. We can help with 1- and 2- year services and provide original replacement part that are needed for this maintenance.

During servicing we would inspect and confirm function of all major parts of the rebreather. In particular, the DSV, breathing hoses and connections, counter lungs, ADV, solenoid and battery compartment would be covered and soft parts - o-rings, diaphragms and flapper valves - would be replaced according to service interval and/or necessity.

The electronics are sealed and don’t need routine maintenance, only a superficial inspection. Furthermore, first stages will be checked for correct function and setting but servicing of them and also tanks is outside of the scope of this maintenance day but can be arranged.
